BAE teams win poster competition at CA/NV ASABE meeting

The ASABE California-Nevada Section meeting on February 10 in Tulare attracted a good turnout.

Congratulations to the graduate student teams and their advisors for their winning entries in the poster competition.  First and second prizes in the graduate poster category were awarded to:

  • First Place to Steve Zicari, Tyler Barzee, Hamed El-Mashad, Ruihong Zhang, Rob Williams and Steve Kaffka for their poster “Preliminary evaluation of dairy manure management practices for greenhouse gas emissions mitigation in California.”
  • Second Place to Tyler Barzee, Hossein Edalati, Hamed El-Mashad, Caleb Adams, Josh Rapport, Bibiana Molinos, Emma Torbert, Kate Scow and Ruihong Zhang for their poster “High value fertilizer products from anaerobic digestate.”

Recognition was also given to members with extensive service to the ASABE including Bruce Hartsough (40 years), Bill Chancellor (62 years), John Goss (65 years), and Wes Yates (67 years).
